Sales Supervisor/Manager
Exempt-Non Exempt:
FT/PT Status:Full Time

Job Responsibilities:

This leadership position will be based in an office setting, overseeing an Internal Sales team. 

  • Oversee the Sales Department, which requires daily and/or weekly coaching, developing, and mentoring to all team members as well as helping them to work smarter and not harder
  • Help coordinate workflow, as it relates to the Department, and find ways to remove barriers to smooth transition between departments
  • Assist with the balancing of the Solar Buckets System, removing roadblocks and helping to facilitate balanced buckets between departments (including those buckets of departments before/after the Project Management stage)
  • Evaluate sales by product line and develop ways to improve product mix
  • Assist in developing a customer base by contacting new leads, following-up on quotes and literature requests, and discussing projects with new and existing customers
  • Develop working relationships with architects and contractors and teach others how to properly cultivate these types of relationships
  • Perform remote training sessions, Lunch ‘N Learns, Go to Meetings, etc. as needed for your role
  • Assist with all territories by contacting new leads, answering technical questions from current customers, communicating with all generated contacts, and working to expand the dealer network (you may also be responsible for a small territory)
  • Review our current REED utilization and develop a plan to maximize its effectiveness and improve our network contacts
  • Develop a system to manage outside independent representatives
  • Implement processes that will improve overall accuracy of project communication, both internally and externally
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce procedures and standards within the department
  • Perform audits to ensure team members are following procedures, such as with linking emails, adding communication notes to the CRM, etc.
  • Improve customer service, ensuring that the team is communicating timely and thoroughly with customers regarding the status of their projects and speaking professionally about them at all times
  • Utilize independent judgment to provide solutions, answers, and documentation to other departments concerning Sales/Estimating questions
  • Provide feedback for process improvements both within the department and between departments, while ensuring changes are implemented
  • Track rework and/or corrective action within the department, following it through until completion, and address situations that are not communicated timely
  • Establish a standard on-boarding process for the department to cover the first 6 months of an employee’s tenure
  • Communicate clearly with the team and company
  • Monitor the on-boarding process within the department to ensure proper training has been administered and for proper engagement
  • Gain a thorough understanding of sunrooms, greenhouses, skylights, and specialty door & window products, as well as all of Solar Innovations, Inc.’s other products and their functions
  • Work to develop an ongoing training program for the team and provide training for related departments to improve overall knowledge sharing
  • Develop a “best-in-class” sales team

Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years of related Sales Experience Required
  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years of Leadership Experience Required
  • Ideal candidates will have experience in either the Manufacturing or Construction industry; experience with Fenestration, Glass, Aluminum, or other similar products/materials is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field is preferred
