Purchasing Assistant
Job Code:PURCHAST1
Exempt-Non Exempt:Hourly
FT/PT Status:Full Time
Schedule:Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
  

Job Responsibilities:
  • Order glass, hardware, and other materials for projects 
  • Generate Purchase Orders and review paperwork for accuracy
  • Arrange shipping for orders purchased and track/confirm delivery status of orders
  • Communicate immediately to management when discrepancies occur to limit project delays
  • Analyze and negotiate pricing with new and existing vendors
  • Seek to establish new vendor relationships as needed

Job Qualifications:
  • Strong Computer Skills required; experience using an ERP system for demand planning and material supply preferred
  • Associates and/or Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Previous experience in a Purchasing, Inventory, and/or Logistics preferred
  • Experience in the glazing industry a plus
  • Experience with problem solving a plus
