Lead Machinist/Supervisor
Exempt-Non Exempt:
FT/PT Status:Full Time

Job Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Machinist/Programmer to help design and create programs for hinges, fishing reels, and other custom products, while also overseeing machine production for these related products.

  • Oversee the department, covering both programming and machine operation functions.
  • Prioritizes daily workload for the department to ensure that all project deadlines are met and re-prioritizes as needed.
  • Master the programming, set-up, and operation of all of Solar Innovations, Inc.'s equipment in department and machinery with limited to no supervision.
  • Understand the Company's HAAS machinery fluently, and be able to program and repair all machinery as needed
  • Read and analyze blueprints to ensure products are machined accurately
  • Use micrometers and calipers to set up and inspect machinery and its parts
  • Consistently at work, shows up on time, and follows instructions

Job Qualifications:
  • Must be able to complete basic numerical calculations, including addition, subtraction, and fraction conversions in order to problem solve any issues that may arise
  • Experience with G-Code and/or M-Code is helpful, but experience with Mastercam, AlphaCam, and/or Elucad or other similar software is ideal
  • Experience with CNC Machinery required
  • Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of related experience in a CNC Programming Role; candidates with related education (in lieu of work experience) will be considered for lower level positions.
  • Previous supervisory experience (preferably 2-3 years) is required
