Human Resources Generalist

Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Company’s Compliance Function, which includes enforcement of Federal, State, and Local Laws, FLSA and LOA Requirements, etc. As part of this function, you will work with the current team to review/revise the current Employee Handbook, while continually looking for ways to improve Company Policies. You will act as a knowledge center for all team members and will provide training to Management to further their knowledge in HR Compliance Topics.
  • Advise the Management Team in organization policy matters, while assisting them by preparing and delivering coaching/mentoring and disciplinary action as needed. This role will be responsible for the separation process, as well as Unemployment Compensation Claims.
  • Serve as a link between Management and Team Members to facilitate resolution of concerns.
  • Work with the Department Lead to facilitate Total Rewards Plan Comparison/Selection and Benefit Compliance.
  • Oversee and enforce the Company’s Safety Program, which includes reviewing written plans, ensuring necessary training courses are completed, preparing and distributing Toolbox Topics, and proactively working to reduce incidents and injuries. You will be required to complete facility walkthroughs, continually educate team members about safe practices, and implement a plan for utilization of outside brokers.
  • Complete Accident Investigations, submit Workers Compensation Claims, and ensure corrective action is completed for reported incidents.
  • Assist with Departmental Projects, as needed, to balance workload.
  • Act as a backup to other Human Resources Department Team Members and their core functions.
  • Work with the Human Resources Team to improve culture, engagement, and team member development.

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • 4 years of related experience in a similar position required, specifically in a compliance-driven role
  • HR Related Certification Required (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
  • 2 – 3 years of experience in Safety Compliance, with related certification (OSHA 10/30) preferred
  • 2 – 3 years of experience in manufacturing preferred
