Fabricator (Experienced)

FT/PT Status:Full Time

Job Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate (assemble) complex structural products, including any custom product that the Company offers, with limited supervision
  • Review drawings and/or cutlists for accuracy prior to Fabrication; this includes a double check of Screw Lists
  • Provide feedback to the Office regarding the continuous improvement of CAD Drawings
  • Proactively communicate when your jobs are ahead or behind schedule
  • Provide feedback, as needed, to help the team standardize details and assembly drawings
  • Train less experienced team members within the department
  • Aid in the reduction of waste, which includes promoting and using drops where possible rather than full length material
  • Assist team members within the department with questions regarding the fabrication of products or accuracy of drawings
  • Assist the management team in enforcing Safety Procedures within the department
  • Provide suggestions for continuous improvement within the department

Job Qualifications:
  • Candidates must have 2 – 4 years of experience in Fabrication, Carpentry, or other related Building Products; must have exposure to structural products.
  • Ideal candidates will have exposure to custom products within our industry.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Candidates must have experience with aluminum products; additional opportunities may be available for candidates exposed to Wood and/or Vinyl Products
  • Additional opportunities may be available for candidates possessing leadership experience
