Job Responsibilities:

We are currently creating a certification program that will train entry level candidates to complete Machining and Programming functions. It is anticipated that, at the conclusion of the program, candidates will receive a certification, either through the Company of third party provider. Upon certification, candidates can pursue careers in CNC Machining or CNC Programming, working with HAAS or Elumatec Mills and Lathes, Brake Press/Shear, Laser, or Waterjet Equipment (depending on the candidate’s skill set and/or area of interest).


Trainees will receive training in areas such as:

·         Learning to safely operate CNC Mills and Lathes, as well as other related machinery (ex. Drill Press and Grinder)

·         Utilization of departmental tools (ex. Calipers and micrometers).

·         Blueprint Reading

·         Basic understanding of G and N Codes

·         Basic functions of Mastercam

Note: We anticipate this training program beginning during the month of June. Participation in the program requires you to meet minimum performance expectations and attendance requirements; otherwise; your participation in the program may be terminated. After successful conclusion of the one-year training program, you will be considered for continued full time employment.

Job Qualifications:

1.      Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED

2.      Candidates with previous Machining experience will be given preferential treatment for admission to the program

3.      Strong skills in mathematics will be required

4.      Candidates must have access to transportation to and from Solar Innovations

5.      Candidates who have interest in manufacturing and/or those with related “hands on” experience are preferred
